PARIS PRIDE
Photographing a pride parade is always a balance between pleasure and professionalism. It is such a party atmosphere which makes it difficult not to get carried away in the joy moment. Protecting your gear from water cannons, glitter bombs and trying not to trip over while walking backwards are all part of the hazards of documenting such an event. The LGBTQ+ community still suffer great prejudice all over world so it was important for me to document this day where people were truly free to simply be. I aimed to capture the spirit of the day with these images. The fashion, the people and the moments that shined. Pride events will always be some of my favourite to photograph. Nobody does it better than our fabulous queer community.
